So I've been meaning to post an actual update lately but have been held back by my stubbornness; I was trying to write down this very very long and detailed dream I had a few weeks ago, that I felt was pretty ground-breaking since I've never had a dream with the elements that were prevalent in this one. I've been trying to finish it but every time I get up to a certain point, something happens to either demotivate me from continuing, or deleting my progress once I actually succeed in writing beyond that point. So, whatever, it can wait...
The most relevant of the recent updates -

Basically, after entering way back in June, I managed to score 2nd place in the Junior category of the 2009 Energy Art Salon Competition, and also placed in the Digital Art Primaries' due to the merging of the two categories. Two good friends of mine, Austin Guarisco
[link] and Doug O'Neil
[link] both placed as finalists in the traditional painting and digital categories in the primaries. Another friend of mine whom I met at the 2006 Visionary Art Intensive with Alex and Allyson Grey at the Rhinebeck Campus Omega Institute
[link] , Greg Bart
[link] , placed as a finalist in the traditional drawing category as well; discovering this was quite the pleasant surprise as I hadn't been in touch with Greg for a while but have seen him at various Chapel of Sacred Mirror events time to time and even showed with him at MicroCoSM's first annual "Original Face" show back in 2007. Check out the Energy Art Movement (also present here on DA, myspace, facebook and twitter as well) and the awesome collection of artwork in the competition results portion of their site -
[link]Very happy and thankful for this one; things have been looking up as of late. The results were unveiled the day after my birthday too...you can imagine the pleasant surprise

I'm also showing (including a print of the winning piece of the Energy Art Competition, Pentagrammathanatos: Severe Beauty ) at Seed Gallery at the Psychotropia Art Show, in which Adam Scott Miller (here
[link] and here
[link]) is also showing -

I've also been working on crafting a music video for Propaganda Anonymous
[link] and
[link] with Doug. That should be done and unveiled sometime soon ^
Aside from that I've been VJing a bit (for Datura
[link] at the Tank
[link] ) last night, and was the urban-tarot-reader at the Evolver
[link] event, "Night of the Occult"
[link]Been quite the nomad the past few days, but as you all know, the most amazing and impacting life experiences come about when you're out wandering and having adventures far from home...
I've got some things cooking, aside from my video experiments, and will unveil my recent experiments with more line-based digital art once I get that done...
Change, growth, death, rebirth...times are changing for the better ^

Bad art is more tragically beautiful than good art 'cause it documents human failure.
