Light's Balance

Winter 2009

As one rises higher in the atmosphere one begins to notice that the further away the ground and sea shrink, the more one's location becomes a world of its' own. As the Sun travels through the sky, and as the clouds and air currents shift and flux with power and temperature, an environment of it's own exists, grows, and changes.

Within this groundless realm the colors and visual substance of the world change into what seems to be entirely different worlds with different natures; the gentle light and soft shine of dawn, the the glare and pummeling heat of mid day, the burning emotion of sunset, the lingering glimmering glow of twilight, and the foreboding pervasive void of night.

As one traverses through these varying worlds, through this shifting of dimensions above the stability of terra firma, one feels unified with the atmospheric shifts as if the very essence of oneself is changing along with the realm.

To fully acknowledge and be present in the expression of the sky, the heavens, in all that they encompass, one must be and depict as many of it's faces as possible.

The balance of all levels of light and existence in the heavens as one
